About Me
I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. Originally from Connecticut and East Tennessee, I received my undergraduate degree in mathematics (with a double major in Political Science/History) from King University in Bristol, Tennessee back in 2017. While there, I was the recipient of the 2017 Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award. In the Spring of 2024 I was also the recipient of King University's Young Alumni Achievement Award. After graduation, I went on to receive my PhD in political science from the School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Georgia in 2022. In my free time, I am an avid reader, as well as an avid adventurer and outdoorsman. I enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, running, and exploring state and federally-owned public lands. Also, I am very passionate about the environment, environmental policy, the role of environmental policy in elections, and land conservation.
